251 Weddings & counting

They say that anything worth having is well worth the wait.  After Francis and Amanda’s wedding October 9th, I couldn’t agree more.  From their original wedding venue closing down and then postponing due to travel restrictions in 2020, this day was WELL WORTH THE WAIT.  🙂

This was my first wedding at Mark Arts and it did not disappoint.  The space was stunning for a wedding and with the perfect touch of ballroom vibes mixed with art, it seemed to fit my couple’s elegant, yet garden inspired, vision perfectly.

Amanda and  her bridesmaids were smiles and giggles all morning long.  Everyone couldn’t wait to celebrate these two.  One of Amanda’s bridesmaids even started cracking jokes to get her to unexpectedly laugh for photos.  You could tell they were a very, tightly knit group.

Francis’ groomsmen helped him get ready across the hall in another area of the museum. They were in great spirits as well.  Laughing quite a bit over a lot of nothing most of the time and just enjoying getting ready together.

The ceremony was short and sweet with many happy tears and more laughter shared.  As they shared their personal vows they wrote for one another, I even got teary-eyed.

The reception had a fun aspect to it that I had never seen before.  The maid of honor carried a card box table to table as the happy couple and wedding party toasted to all the guests.  Guests would then give cards with money, well wishes or gift cards to the bride & groom which was followed by another toast.  One table even stuck to tradition of making the couple work for their cards. You won’t want to miss this photo so make sure to scroll! 😀

We ended the night with some sunset pictures after enjoying a delicious meal of traditional, Chinese cuisine.  I think it may have been my favorite meal in all of my 255 weddings. It was unique, fresh and quite a bit I had never tasted before. <3

Francis and Amanda,
Wow! Is about all I can say as I look through this sneak peek.  I hope your wedding was an absolute dream for you both.  It was wonderful to finally meet you after all this time and to get to be a part of your best day yet. Thank you for choosing me to tell your love story!  Enjoy these teasers!

Yours truly,
