A California girl living in a Kansas world.

251 Weddings & counting

I don’t think they could have planned meshing the two worlds of the bride and groom together more perfectly.  David is from California and T’Lane moved there to pursue acting when she met her Prince Charming.  Her family owns a cotton farm in Pratt, KS and the land had similarities of those you would see on the West Coast.  Which made for one of the prettiest and most unique venues I’ve photographed.

You could not have asked for a more perfect, fall wedding.  The weather was sunny, a slight, cool breeze and the colors and florals that they chose complimented it all so perfectly. (They even hand picked the cotton for all the florals!)

T’Lane got ready at her parents’ home with the love of her bridesmaids & mom surrounding her.  You could feel the excitement in the air.  T’Lane was nothing but smiles and laughter all day.  It was contagious. 🙂

They chose to have a first look prior to the ceremony, but I felt that David was still just as excited and emotional when she walked down the aisle.  The ceremony space was in front of their pond. After the ceremony, cocktail hour began for guests and we took advantage of the beautiful sunset.

They shared a choreographed, first dance as husband and wife before cutting cake and listening to toasts.  A lot more laughter came during toasts as David’s dad toasted to T’Lane’s parents.

The biggest takeaway from this beautiful day was how close both sides of the families are with each other.  They all shared hugs after the ceremony to celebrate officially becoming one family.  They shared toasts to each other, they told stories of how they met, they cried happy tears; it was just a breath of fresh air to see so much love coming together to celebrate.

David & T’Lane,

I hope your safari honeymoon was the best it could be!  What an amazing experience it must have been!  I just want to say thank you for choosing me to be a part of your beautiful, love story. It was an honor to get to work with your families and become friends with you. 🙂

Enjoy this little sneak peek as I finish the full gallery.  <3
