When a couple has been together since high school, you know that their wedding day is going to be the party of the year. You’ll recognize these two from almost a year ago. In the freezing cold, on the top of a rooftop that overlooked Wichita, I hid in a corner as Victoria walked outside to see Ian standing, waiting to propose to her. A week before, her best friend had reached out to me on Instagram asking if I was available for a NYE wedding because Ian was getting ready to propose and that was the date Victoria had been talking about.
A black and gold wedding to ring in the New Year was the perfect way to kiss 2020 goodbye and get psyched for 2021. Which, I feel is going to be an amazing year.
They got ready at their venue, The Highlands, in Valley Center, KS. Their friends and family there to help them get ready. Victoria’s bridesmaids were having a laid back morning, listening to music while being able to hear the guys playing beer pong from across the way.
Victoria dreamed of her perfect dress. She designed it herself and Ian’s mother made her dreams come true. With a removable skirt to transform into a reception dress made for dancing in. Only her mom and his mom had seen it so when the bridesmaids came out for their reveal, they started screaming and crying immediately.
Their ceremony took place at St. Thomas Aquinas. Since it was still the Christmas season, the church was beautiful with decorations. Afterwards, we headed to Bradley Fair for some Christmas light photos before heading back to the venue for the party of their lives.
Dancing the night away, they celebrated the New Year in style with confetti popping and a sparkler exit. These two are such sweethearts and I’m overwhelmed with joy for their new adventure together.
Ian & Victoria,

I can’t wait to see where life takes you next. 🙂 Enjoy this sneak peek while I keep working hard on your images. xoxo
