Romantic Storytelling, Fine Art Wedding Photographer

Garrett & Katie are another couple who was affected by Covid.  But they didn’t let their postponement change anything about their gorgeous day.  They had so many smiles on their faces and were excited to finally become Mr. and Mrs. Connolly!

Katie and her bridesmaids got ready at a nearby airBNB in the heart of Kansas City.  They excitedly talked about the wedding as they helped her into her stunning gown.  We headed to Brookside Gardens by the Magnolia group for the first look. Truelove Wedding Coordinating had it set up beautifully!

As Katie approached Garrett, he rocked back and forth on his heels.  He turned around and his face said it all–he is absolutely, head-over-heels for Katie.

We headed to Loose Park Rose Garden for photos and for the first time, it was completely empty.  They had the entire park to themselves.  The garden is my favorite spot for pictures in Kansas City.  It’s elegant, romantic and has dreamy lighting no matter which part of the day you’re there shooting.

The ceremony began at 6pm.  Katie locked eyes with Garrett as she walked down the aisle.  A lot of laughter and smiles came during their ceremony.  They ended it with their first kiss as husband and wife and then were announced into the reception where they cut their cake and got ready to party like rockstars.

We headed back outside for photos after dinner and found a beautiful, patio garden for photos during golden hour.

Garrett & Katie,
Thank you so much for having Nancy and I be a part of your wedding day.  The love the two of you share brings so many smiles when you walk into a room.  I cannot wait to see where this new chapter in your life takes you!  Enjoy this little sneak peek into your wedding day and congratulations again!

Yours Truly,
