Romantic Storytelling, Fine Art Wedding Photographer

June 26th kicked off a delayed wedding season for us and we couldn’t be happier to be back at it after a three month lockdown.

Jacob and Jenny’s wedding day took place at Life’s Finer Moments event cabin in Clay Center, KS.

Jenny and her bridesmaids got ready together and laughed a lot in the process.  A game of mad libs was played while they got their hair and makeup done.  The flower girls were in awe of everything.  From staring at Jenny’s dress, coming up and telling her how beautiful she was and even looking at themselves in the mirror to see their dresses twirl, they were so cute to watch!

Jacob and Jenny decided to share a private first look while reading their vows together.  Jacob fought back tears as he promised to be with her forever.  She kept reaching up to his face and offering her support anytime it was an emotional moment.  They walked back hand in hand with the biggest smiles on their faces.

As the ceremony doors opened to present the bride to her groom, Jenny’s dad looked over at her.  Pride and happiness filled his eyes as they walked down the aisle.  During the ceremony, they lit a unity candle and as they were announced as husband and wife, Jenny gave a little yell.  They were officially Mr. and Mrs.!

One of Jenny’s sisters wrote a song and sang it to her for her toast.  I’m pretty sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the room at that moment.  Maybe it’s because I have three daughters but I felt all the feels and cried like a baby.

Afterwards, they headed outside to kick off dancing the night away.  They started with a grand march to get the couple in the middle of the dance floor.  The coolest photo from the reception is when she is dancing with her daddy.  Just wait until you see it!

Jacob & Jenny,

Thank you so much for choosing Nancy and me to be a part of your love story. The love you two share is beautiful and your day couldn’t have been more perfect.  I hope you are loving the married life!  Enjoy this little sneak peek as I work on your images.  🙂

Yours Truly,
Sara

Isn’t this just the cutest photo?

There’s nothing more meaningful than the love of a mother.

Maybe she’s dreaming of her own wedding one day…

Jacob gifted her this honeycomb necklace to represent her last name becoming Combs.

First looks are so sweet!

How sweet is this!?

The lighting was GORGEOUS during the ceremony.  Golden hour for the win!

That look her dad is giving–all the feels right now.

They’re married!

I just love how in the moment they are in this photo!

Could she be any more gorgeous?!

Veil shots are my favorite.

You cannot beat this kind of joy.

Cue the tears. . .

Let’s get ready to rock and roll!

Lightning was moving in as the dances started and we were lucky enough to catch the flash on camera during the father/daughter dance.  How cool is that?
