July 4th, 2020:
If someone had told me that soul mates didn’t exist, I’d point them to Sam & Leighton and say, “That right there, that’s what soul mates look like.”
It was sunny and beautiful. Leighton and her bridesmaids got ready in the bridal suite at The Barn at Grace Hill where they popped bubbly and toasted to her happily-ever-after with Sam. Her mom and sisters helped get her dressed and then we did a special reveal with the rest of the bridesmaids. Happy tears were fought back!
Their ceremony took place at Magdalen. They decided to keep it traditional and not see each other prior to Mass. Sam anxiously looked past every wedding party member as they walked down the aisle. He couldn’t wait to see his bride! They held hands as soon as Leighton’s father gave her away. They had a full Catholic Mass and Father talked about how this was the end of their independence. From this point on, they were husband and wife, one in the same and dependent on each other. That they would share their triumphs, their obstacles, their laughter and tears together.
They entered into the reception with lots of smiles and excitement! Their first dance took place immediately after entering and they swayed back and forth as the music tuned out the rest of the noise in the room. It was just the two of them on that dance floor.
We ended the evening with a portrait session as the sun set and then danced the night away.
