Romantic Storytelling, Fine Art Wedding Photographer

Grant & Terah had me travel to their hometown area for their engagement session.  Casey & I had a 4.5 hour drive ahead of us and stocked up on all the snacks to hold us over.  (Smartfood Popcorn, baby!)  We arrived a couple of hours early so we could hike together and look for the perfect spots for photos.

They are seriously, the sweetest people ever.  I had so much fun working with them and getting to know them more before their wedding this fall.  We began their engagement session at the Monument Rocks of Kansas in Oakely, Kansas.  The giant rock formations made the perfect backdrop for photos and her dress & boots went so perfectly with it.

On our way to take pictures at Scott Lake State Park, we stopped on a dirt road where the trees created a gorgeous archway in the middle of nowhere.

Western Kansas has desert vibes mixed in with all of the gorgeousness the rest of the state holds.  It is definitely one of a kind and I always love shooting in this area.

I cannot wait to work with these two lovebirds again this fall.   Enjoy the sneak peek into their Scott City engagement session. Eeek!

And don’t forget, Nancy & I will be at the Wichita Bridal Expo on July 25th/26th and we’d love to meet you and get your 2021 wedding on our calendar.  🙂

Yours Truly,

How adorable are they?

Terah has such a beautiful smile!

Grant used to go the above pond all of the time as a child to watch the fish.

I loved all of the little trails that led to secluded places where nobody else could see us.
