Romantic Storytelling, Fine Art Wedding Photographer

I don’t think Ashley and Zach could have been blessed with a more beautiful day for the month of December.

It started off as a chilly fog and transformed into sunshine.

The couple got ready at the Hyatt Wichita.  Zach and his groomsmen watched the game as they dressed.  Ashley’s room was quieter as they listened to romantic music to get them ready to celebrate a wedding.  Gold sparkles touched the details.

After throwing confetti to get the party started, Ashley’s mom helped her get dressed before embracing her tightly.  Lots of excitement poured out as the bridesmaids opened the door to see Ashley for the first time.

The ceremony took place at The Cathedral of Immaculate Conception.  They kept things traditional so Zach did not see his bride until the church doors opened.  He wiped away tears as her father escorted her down the aisle.  Father blessed their marriage and reminded them of all that is to come from their sacrifice to love each other all the days of their lives.  They exchanged rings, vows and then kissed for the first time as husband and wife.

They exited the church as their friends and family cheered them on!  They were nothing but smiles the entire time.

We had some time to spare in between the ceremony and reception so we made some stops around town.  It was one of the most fun wedding parties to work with.  They were all so easy going, helped make the couple laugh easily and just made the day so much fun for their friends.  After showing off the couple around town, we headed to Brick and Mortar for the reception.

The party bus dropped the couple off and they made their grand entrance. Cheers came from all corners of the room as the happy couple made their way to the cake table.  Ashley looked over her shoulder and smiled mischievously.  I knew what was up her sleeves.  She turned and smeared cake all over Zach.  As she turned to laugh, he got her back even better than she had gotten him.  They shared a frosting mess of a kiss!

Burgers, fries and macaroni and cheese were served to their guests before toasts and dancing commenced.  Zach twirled her around the dance floor.  She then shared a sweet dance with her father before Zach escorted his mom out to the dance floor for a few moments to share alone.

Zach & Ashley,
Thank you for having me be a part of your love story.  To experience all the love that you two share and the support and love your families have for you was absolutely incredible.  Your marriage will be in my prayers and I cannot wait to see where life takes you next.  I hope you enjoy this little sneak peek as I finish up the rest of the images. 🙂
