Romantic Storytelling, Fine Art Wedding Photographer

The sun was high in the sky, kissing the earth as its light dazzled like glitter on the ocean waves.  Adam looked out on the horizon, anxiously waiting.  Behind him, in the distance, came his beautiful bride.  Over the beach breeze and the waves crashing in, I’m not sure he even heard her approach him.  She tapped him on the shoulder and as he turned around he took a step back–clearly taken back by her beauty and the moment he’d been anticipating.

Destin, Florida sure is breathtaking in July but it didn’t even compare to the love that Jessica and Adam share.  His eyes locked on hers as he pulled her in for a hug and then had her twirl to show off her dress.

The ceremony took place right there on the beach.  The clouds were rolling in and it looked like a storm was in store.  The ceremony had 42 attendees and even though the wind was blowing hair in our faces and we couldn’t hear too much of what was going on, we could tell that happiness was all that was around.  The two of them shared a sand ceremony which was perfect for the setting.  Adam pulled her in and dipped her slightly back as they shared their first kiss as husband and wife.  Just a few drops of rain blessed them as they walked back down the aisle.  The good luck on a wedding day without it pouring!  What an awesome blessing!

After the ceremony, guests were asked to take a wishing sea shell.  They made a line along the shore and after everyone thought of a good luck wish for the happy couple, they all threw the sea shells into the largest wishing well on earth…the ocean!

Jessica changed into another dress so that we could have some fun in the water and sand.  Waves crashed into the couple as they kissed in the water and lay out on the shore.  Their smiles said it all.  The day they had been waiting for was finally here and it was by far their best day ever.

A bonfire was set up for guests to come back to later after the bride & groom changed out of their very soaked clothes.  A perfect ending to the perfect day.

Adam & Jessica,

As a California girl who loves no location more than the beach, I believe you chose the perfect location for your love story.  It made you shine brighter than the summer sun and I am so happy for the two of you.  Thank you so much for having me be a part of your love story!  I hope you had an absolute blast staying in Destin for a honeymoon.  Enjoy this sneak peek into your day!

Yours Truly,
Sara
