Mermaids used their magical moon rings to enter our home and prep it for Trinity’s birthday.
Our guests walked through flowing seaweed to enter the party room. Jellyfish danced near the window. Beautifully decorated cookies invited all Trinity’s mermaid & merman friends to the table. Sparkly cupcake toppers, starfish and seashells covered the table. The mermaids even left a few tropical fish as their present to Trinity.
Trinity was so excited when she woke up and saw everything decorated and ready for her big party. Swimming & sparklers took place to celebrate the birthday girl’s 6th year. Friends and family showered her with love as her green eyes twinkled in the sun’s light as it hit the coral reef.
Our little girl is 6. I can’t believe it. Last night, I tucked her into bed as she held her new baby doll close and hugged my 5 year old for the very last time. 5 is gone. Poof. In the blink of an eye. Why must she grow so quickly? My eyes started to water as I thought of the day I laid eyes on her for the very first time. A home birth, no meds…I was exhausted. But there she was, this little girl, perfect in my arms. I had no idea that my heart could love even more. Our middle mermaid, the happiest and most down to earth child I know, is 6.
Happy birthday my little mermaid. I love you.
Yours Truly,
Mommy
