Romantic Storytelling, Fine Art Wedding Photographer

The first day of fall set the tone perfectly for this couple’s wedding.  The crisp, chilly air made everyone feel energetic.

Sarah and her bridesmaids popped champagne and toasted to her future as Mrs. Ian Alter.
The girls laughed and hugged as they got ready for the best day of their best friend’s life.

Ian and his groomsmen arrived a little later so that their paths wouldn’t cross the bride.  Ian walked up to the venue and Sarah saw a glimpse of him through the window and started to get very excited and nervous.
Everyone pushed her back to the back of the room to make sure he wouldn’t catch a glimpse of her too.

Ian waited at the altar with a look of anxiousness on his face.  Sarah’s father escorted her down the aisle and as soon as they turned, she looked up to Ian and his anxiousness blew away in the Missouri wind.  His smile widened as they stared into one another’s eyes.  The moment had finally arrived!

The tied the knot as part of their unity ceremony and exchanged rings before sharing their first kiss as husband and wife.

The reception took place inside the whitewashed walls of the barn.  Brightly fall colored florals were set at the farm style tables. Wooden chairs made the perfect touch for rustic elegance.   Loud applause welcomed Ian and Sarah as they entered the room.  The couple then did a five minute photo challenge to kick off the reception activities.  Each table was to group on the dance floor and call the couple to snap a picture with them and they only had five minutes to do all of the groups.  It was a fun way to make sure to get a photo with all of the guests while staying in an ideal timeframe so that dinner could be served.

They shared a first dance before dancing with their parents and then the party got started and the dance floor was full.

Ian and Sarah,

Your kind and gentle souls are so beautiful.  It’s a match made in heaven for the two of you. I am so happy to see so much joy on your faces when you’re with each other.  Thank you for having me be a part of your love story!  I hope your Bahama honeymoon was fabulous and I cannot wait to see where life will take you.

Yours Truly,

Sarah’s grandma was behind me telling me, “Isn’t he a handsome grandpa? Grandpa sure cleans up nicely.” I thought it was adorable!
