Sometimes, you meet someone and your heart just knows that is who you will end up with. You might not realize it at first but once you’re married, you’ll have an a-ha moment that takes you back to that time that you locked eyes with each other and your body sent you a different feeling than it ever had before. Reese looks at Kelly so admiringly. They share a special love because of their beautiful two year old, Lily and when Kelly is holding Lily, he cannot help but to smile towards them.
Their wedding day was blessed with a kiss of springtime. Kelly and her bridesmaids got ready while jamming out to oldies. She looked as radiant as ever. She told me that she was calmer than she had expected and couldn’t wait to see Reese. Reese and his groomsmen were down the hall. He told me that he was ready. He had that wedding day glow about him too.
They decided to keep it traditional so as Kelly’s dad escorted her down the aisle, Reese’s breath was taken away. Her father’s eyes stinging with tears of joy for his daughter as they approached the altar. Kelly and Reese’s eyes met. He smiled and winked at her. Although, I couldn’t see her face, I could tell that her shoulders relaxed at that moment. It was happening. The two of them were about to become husband and wife.
Reese’s father was their officiant and pastor for the ceremony. This was a sweet touch to their day because he shared his thoughts on their love and told everyone how proud he was of his son. Choked up just a bit, he took a moment and smiled at them before announcing them as husband and wife. They shared a soft kiss before heading out to a ribbon exit where cheers and love surrounded them.
A trolley took them from the church to the reception venue where they received another warm welcome. Silver sparkles behind their head table matched the glitter dancing on their stunning cake. Of course, the groom’s cake was Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup chocolate cake–what better way to match his name? After cutting their cake, her maid of honor and his best man shared heartwarming speeches about them finding each other in a world that could have steered otherwise.
The night went on with dancing. A romantic first dance was followed by sweet parent dances. Their daughter, Lily, then took the floor because she was ready to rock and roll. She stayed on the dance floor most of the night and had a blast. Before we left, Kelly and her Sorority sisters all came to the dance floor to sing a song and take a photo together. The entire evening was filled with so much fun and joy!
