Romantic Storytelling, Fine Art Wedding Photographer

The November air was crisp.  The long, dirt road took us up and down through the Flint Hills until we came to a field of Longhorn Cattle that surrounded a sign for Circle S. Ranch.  They stared at us inquisitively as we continued to a rustic entryway.

Katie and her favorite ladies got ready upstairs in the silo room while Aaron and his best guys said cheers to happily ever afters downstairs in the inn’s foyer.

Her Disney-inspired wedding dress was perfectly complimented by gorgeous gold Betsey Johnson flats.  Wild Hill Flowers impressed us yet again with their fresh floral arrangements that made the day pop with such vibrant fall colors.

Aaron waited at the bottom of the hill with a smile on his face.  Katie’s bridesmaids laid out her dress just moments before the first look.  Katie started walking towards him.  Their families, back at the inn at the top of the hill, looking anxiously towards them.  As Aaron turned to see Katie his jaw dropped and she gave a tiny giggle.  Both of them looked so surprised and happy to see each other.  Aaron even did a turn for Katie to show off his entire outfit.

The ceremony took place in the trees that were just starting to turn colors.  The wooden archway completely covered in greenery and flowers.  Tree stumps were topped with candles and flowers.  The wooden doors opened and the wedding party made their way down the steps.  As Katie made her entrance, they all were smiles.  Aaron waited up front for his beautiful bride.  Friends of the bride shared a few words about love and commitment before the vows were said.  The couple wrote their own vows and so many teary eyes followed the sweet words that one another said about the other.  They shared why they loved each other and what they were promising to one another.  They shared their first kiss as husband and wife before heading back down the aisle with the happiest of faces.

The reception took place indoors out of the cold breeze.  More florals, gold sparkles and a delicious looking donut bar greeted guests.  As the happy couple made their grand entrance, everyone clapped and cheered them on.  Aaron spun Katie around for the guests before sharing a kiss at the head table and mingling with guests.  Before dinner, they cut into their cake, toasted to their love and then the party got started with lots of dancing after dinner.  It was the perfect ending to a perfect day.
